Definitly, haven't looked at the fish house yet but will be as soon as we get done with harvest.

Do you think the crappie bite will be on again this year or do you think it is on the decline?

I believe they are on the decline but there is still a lot of crappies to be caught, and they are big! its just that instead of having a monster school of crappies where everyone catches fish, its going to be a lot of smaller schools more spread out, and on certain spots like breaks or changes in bottom structure.

Last year we got into the crappies pretty good. 1 day was just plain old insane. We were using Custom Jigs and Spins Ratfinkys and Shrimpos with no bait or a waxie and we couldnt keep them off the hook. This was 3pm! What a blast that was. Im dieing to get up there and hit some more SLABS!

The fish are harder to find but when ya do they are Big and willing to bite.

North,

I "heard" that you can catch 3:1 Eyes to Craps, any truth?

I have pretty good luck with Custom J&S, especially without bait...

depends on where you are. the walleyes tend to hover in different water that the crappies. not that they can't or won't exist in the same water, they just don't get along that well. generaly the walleyes are in shallower that the crappies. if you are into the walleyes heavy, then you should move. i'd just try deeper. at times you will catch nothing but walleyes, but at times you'll catch nothing but crappies. that's the part i like.

good fishing!!
