Anyone out today? I was out from noon til dark. Not sure what went wrong but I only picked up one fish. I used the famous "Blade" for the first time today. I think I could use some tips on technique?

Welcome to the forums trollerx,

I took my grandpa out from 2:30 5:30 this afternoon and we boated 3 walleyes verticle jigging. It was a nice day for it. just wish we could have hit the water a few hours earlier.

I was fishing near the Kinnie and Afton Point. I have a feeling the bite is still better in Prescott.

We stopped in prescott and caught 1 cigar sized walleye then went up to a sandbar between kinni and the drawbridge. I usually try to escape the crowd if i can. we marked most fish in 18-20 fow the bites we had came on green/yellow jigs I expiremented with some plastic tails but didnt have enough action to really pick a pattern out.

TrollerX,

2 tips are to snap the blade sharply- no light jigging, and the other stay vertical when jigging in over 23 feet of water. And a third I guess I prefer monofilament.

Keep cathcin'!

I think I drove right by you a little after 3:00. I was headed from the Kinnie to Afton. It is nice this time of year because you can fish spots that you cannot sit on in the summer. I will be out again this coming weekend if the weather cooperates.

Thanks. What about color or size? Do you think it is a requirement to have a Vexilar in the boat? Thanks for the info.
