Any one else still fishing??

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I have been too busy to post in quite some time. With the cold front moving in tonight I decided to get out for the first time in a while. WOW what a good idea that was...... Let me know if anyone else has been practicing some CPR....

Nice musky....your usual spot I presume? With the cold coming the lake should spit out a couple fish like that, but no one seems to persue them there. Again....nice fish.

Yes Crappie, caught at my usual spot on lake Zumbro wink.gif The fish was aprox 37 inches. I did not want to keep it out of the water very long so I did not measure it very accurate though.

Nice fish Murph. Not too many people know musky fishing like that actually exists so close to home.

I notice the chartruese crank. Have you had success with other color patterns or lures? What type of retrieve are you using with the crankbait? THanks.

I have had successes with a blue/silver rapala as well. Same size. I was using a variety of retrieves, slow, stop and go, very fast, and jerk. I find that a fast retrieve bouncing off the bottom (rocks) has produced most of my fish. May be we will meet up down there some time. I try to spend as much time as possible on the Zumbro in the fall when everyone else is hunting. Introduce yourself as a FMer if we run into eachother....
