The breakwater can produce some action at this time of year from some salmon. Cohos and immature kings might be found hanging around for the winter months. Lake trout season is closed for now and fishing for them is a no-no. Loopers are going to start showing up there on a little more regular basis as the winter months progress, but then icing can make this a bad place to be. I'd guess that as long as one can access the wall, he should at least try it. Two lines are permitted....do one with either a crawler under a float or a looper bug/ waxie under a float ( set the depths at about eight feet) and fish the other with a spinner or a krokodile lure and keep the retrieves fairly high in the water column. The black looper bugs seem to be the best color for me out there and the hard baits in gold/orange stripe or rainbow trout pattern should do the job.
