question about osakis

i was wondering if anyone could tell me about the backwaters that are just west of the lake, the one that is connected via a channel that flows under #10.

is the channel navigatable by boat?

is it all just muck and weeds back there or is it reeds and sand, or what?

how deep?

any other info would be great.

Which one are you are talking about? The one by the Head of the Lakes resort goes into the little lake "Little Osakis" and the other one to the west of here goes no where any more. It's just a ditch now that's plugged in the middle. So if navigation is a thought, it won't work. Mike89

I forgot there is one more west of there by the landing on the county line. I do think think it's the same, goes no where.

yeah it is by the county line and north of the access that is on the west side, i think it is part of the crooked lake ditch?.

that mapping link they put up on the open water forum shows it really well.
