We caught quite a few crappies last spring in the channel between the two. Right before you enter Mary, you will see a widening of the channel. There is a 30' hole there. The crappies were just stacked in there. Lots of fun for the two kids.

I have not fished Emily/Mary for a few years but here are a few spots I have caught fish.

On Mary - when you come out of the river into the lake, troll the right shoreline for walleyes. You can also get crappie action in the evenings.

On Emily -

Crappies - Spring time - along the road just going into town on the hill. Reed bed/Shallow spot out from the river inlet.

Walleyes - Because this is a shallow dishpan type lake, look for any changes in depth, like channels and cuts surrounded by shallower water. If you find a change of depth of a foot or so, slow down and concentrate on it. Some of the best days of fishing I ever had on Emily have been in spots like this. There are a few points that have turned out walleyes at times as well.
