Fall eyes

I will be in the arrowhead the second weekend of deer hunting and am hoping to catch some eyes. Does anyone have any info on how the bite has been as of late?

Also if anyone has any ideas on where to try it would be appreciated.

I will be staying near Grand Marais, but I will be fishing between there and Silver Bay. I am meeting a friend from Silver Bay to fish, so that is the story. We will be in a canoe if that is of any help.

I don't fish from canoes anymore. If forced to at gunpoint, in the Silver Bay area I'd try Coffee Lake if it's not froze over by then. It can be an adventure gettin on the water but used to be a pretty good walleye lake. Good Luck!
