Am thinking of bringing my wheel house up and trying it this season, is there much of a night bite during the winter season?

What Lodge maintains an ice road that will usually get you to some decent structure?

Most of the resorts maintain great roads in the winter. Sure a nasty storm or high winds can cause havoc on the roads. Winnie rods are as good as most of the large lakes in MN. One problem that I have seen is ice heaves. There seems to be years when they get pretty bad and its difficult for some resorts to get out to some structure.

I have found the night walleye bite to be good for a couple hours after dark and then they slow way down. Shallower (<20ft) structure (rocks) have been best for me.

Good luck.
