Had some fair walleye fishing Fri. 10/29 and Sat. 10/30.

Evening/night shore fishing 4'-6' of water. Nothing big,

kept a few 13"-14". Still seems to be a lot of 10" class eyes in Knife. Last open water fishing for me this fall as my boats and dock are in and cabin water system drained. Still a few boats out fishing the lake. Hate to call it quits but the weather will turn soon. Oh well, ice fishing can't be far off. Good luck to those who are still able to get out there.

Thanks for the report Wavey! Knife Lake is a FUN lake, have you been finding any crappies?

I only caught 1 crappie from shore over the weekend (12", nice!).

Most are suspended now over deeper water. You'll see boats in the middle of the lake searching for them. I don't know if they are having any luck. Maybe someone who has been out there will update this report regarding crappies.

Wow, I've never heard of that many large eyes on Knife at one time! Once in a while I might catch one....

Only caught one 26" this year, lots in the 10" - 14" range,

nothing in between.

It was all luck I am sure. as the buddy I was fishing with was using the same thing I was. and only managed to catch the 2 17 inchers that were lost at the boat..lets just put it this way . it was the best day i have ever had. I am very doubtful I will have another day like this again.

there were to other boats in the same area and I did'nt see them net a fish..alls I can say is luck.

I fished a bass tounament on Knife a few years ago, and had caught 5 walleye and the smallest was close to 5 lbs.. largest close to 8lbs... There are some big eyes in there.. This last summer I caught 2 pike over 15 lbs in one day... FYI all those fish are still swimming!
