Can I hunt deer with a crossbow? Or can you hunt any thing with one?

As far as I know... You need a Doctors signed note saying that you are disabled, or do to some injury are not able to pull a normal bow back. You can then get a Crossbow permit to take deer during the archery season. Not sure about any other game?

You need to get an application from the DNR, have your doctor fill it out, return it to the DNR. Then if accepted by the DNR you will get a permit that allows you to use a crossbow. You cannot use one for any hunting in MN without that permit.
