Northshore report 10/30

[Norskie]

We got to Two Harbors about 8:45AM and walked out to the

end of the wall. The sun was out and the wind was moderate

out of the south. Threw out a crawler on a slip bobber and

then started casting. A little later it started clouding

up and the wind started to pick up. We fished untill about

11:30AM but had no luck and went to lunch.

Questions we were asked while on the wall:

Are there any perch in there?

Which way is North?

Are there any panfish in there?

What's a Kamloops?

After lunch we tried the French. The river was flowing pretty fast from all the rain and the water along the shore

was discolored. No luck but we did see some fish jumping in

the river. After getting soaked from the waves hitting the

rocks we moved on to the Lester. The water along the shore

was discolored also. No luck there either so we decided to

call it a day. It was still a better day that the best day

at work.

Most boats are put away now and with ice a good month away yet, the North Shore is a good option to wet a line.

Welcome Norskie! Just thought i'd give ya my 2 cents on the looper thing. They can be tough to come by, so do your best not to get frustrated. You'll probably see a lot of guys next to you catch fish before you get one (if your luck is like mine ), try not to curse them out. Keep at it and your persistance will pay off. They really are a blast to hook into, well worth the price of admission

Norski welcome to FM, Illtakewhaticanget is right, Loopers take time, alot of it. Keep at em and you'll get into them. Next time you are on your way to the area post and maybe we can meet up with you on the shore.

Porter, do you have your ussual meeting tommorrow AM? I was thinking of getting out early for a couple hours before I drive 2 hours to my home town to vote. Get a hold of me if you are interested.

Yeah, I've gotta be at school from about 9:30 till noon. Maybe you should head out there anyway and catch one for me I found the coat you're looking for, i'll get it to ya.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. It is a lot of fun just

to be on the shore fishing and enjoying the scenery. Catch-

ing a fish is just a little frosting on the cake.
