SOUTH AFRICAN ICEFISHING?

Ya believe it or not Cheffrey has a crew of 15-20 South Africans coming up here to IceFish, Snowshoe, Snowmobile catch a Bulldogs game and do all the usual winter fun stuff we do around here.

My reason for posting this is we are looking for some volenteers to help the 2 of us give these people a time they wont soon forget.

We will do the Icefishing on Fish Lake on Febuary 3rd about 9 or 10 am. Time is still in the air. I would like as many volenteers who have houses, augers, heaters, rods/reels, tip ups and a willingness to help these people catch a few fish as I can get. There will be a after event gathering most likely at the Grand Superior Lodge on the beautiful North Shore. I will be spending the night there and Im sure we can get some nice rooms for others who want to join the fun but dont want to drive home after the festivities. I strongly encourage getting a room and they will be discounted. If you havent been to the Grand Superior you have to come to this event. Great rooms with a awesome view of the lake and the best meals around. They have to be good cause Cheffrey is the Head Chef up there. Try the Kangaroo and Salmon Wantons. YUMMMM! I cant wait!

Once again I am blown away by you all, thanks for all the interest and nice work Steve getting the ball rolling. Right now it's about 80% for sure that these folks will be joining us. We have sent them the proposed itinerary. I am planning on also having lunch for you all out there as well. From what I know from this group is they have not ever seen snow before so with that being said we are taking care of renting them appropriate clothing for their week of fun. This is a very outgoing group of people and several of them camp out in Botswanna right next to rhino's & elephants so I don't think getting them to go out on the ice should be to much of a problem. We have the transportation lined up we will just need you guys to help instruct and help out with some of the gear. When it is all finished I will be bringing the fish back and cooking it up for these folks. I'm going to see about getting one of our larger units reserved for those of you that help and we can have a few cocktails and kick back and shoot the ship.

I'll definately be able to help out. Just make sure you don't try to teach them foose cheffrey I've got a portable, and hopefully will have a perm by that time too. I just wish that ice would get here......

Randy we can always use more. Between drilling holes, setting up houses, cooking, rigging poles and tip ups and filming etc. we can use quite a few.
