So tell me, where can i find crappies right now on the river? I will be fishing at like 1pm everyday during my lunch, just wondering where i should go and what i should use, preferably somewhere in town. If the dam is one of these places, what area of it?

Cody, Try under 8th street bridge. Use a small jig with a white twister tail. I was there 2 nights ago...nothing... Give it a week or two and some WARM WEATHER it shoud be good.

Cody,

Get some bait. We have live bait in town
located right behind Taco Johns. We need
to patronize this place or bait wont be
available again.

Good Luck

The crappies are going strong right now.

Curt, you are right. It would be nice to see a bait store stay open in this town. I would like to see them carry leeches too so that we could take them up to the big lake.

Well, I tried my luck at the dam on saturday, some people were in my spot so I ended up farther down river than I liked. So i fished the interval of fast and slow water, couple smaller crappie, and one little walleye, ofcourse they all went back. The walleye had some great color for being a river fish.
