Recommended Posts

anybody familuar with this lake south of deerwood?
I tryed it satuarday and there were many boats out fishing, I tryed for bass and only had two fish on, but one was a very large fish.
was woundering how the walleyes are, and what this lake is fished for most. seems this lake does not have much for weeds, so maybe I was not fishing the right areas.

Clearwater holds a good number of fish, and it has Smallies too!!!

The Crappies run decent size, the Pike can run in the teens for pounds, and the Walleye population is strong.

The clear water makes for tough daytime fishing, coupled with the lake bordering on turnover, and all the pressure received out there from anglers.

I'd wait til after turnover (water temp about 55 degrees) and try again.

Did you try around any of the bullrush areas or old lily pads?

I did not try the lillys or rush, you are probally right, the lake was at a stage were things are changing, and turnover will be better. with this cold weather this weekend, turnover will be going.
