Are the lakes okay?

Is it possible to drive out on the local lakes? Hanging Kettle to be specific?

As of about a week ago (when the weather was still warm) the ice was starting to pull away from the shore on many area lakes. All this snow and freezing rain had made most everything close up and it all looks the same.

Theres no way I would even think about driving a vehicle on the ice... you might find that your front tires would drop through in many areas once you tried to get on the ice.

on your best opinion, when do you think the ice will be out on gun lake?
I am hoping for some warm weather, but I think we are getting screwed for the lackluster winter.
when was the ice out last year, I know it was very early.
