My wife and I are heading up next week. We’re bringing our boat and looking for tips. We like panfish but will try walleyes or trout. We mostly fish with slip bobbers mainly because it’s relaxing. Any tips are appreciated

Not sure how many Lakers are in there anymore?  Your best bet will be crappies and Smallies. Good Luck.

In all honesty, the fishing on poplar sucks! It’s very poor for smallies and walleyes compared to other area lakes. Go to nearby hungry Jack and west bearskin lakes for bass and lake trout. Hungry Jack has some sunfish too.
