Nice job @whateverisbiting. Bonus bass are always fun.  They tend to fight a little better than even the nicest panfish?

Eyeguy and I decided one last trip was in order to close the ice season out.

We found decent ice conditions N of St Cloud within an hour- hour and half drive, though even here shorlines are really looking rough, and the snow they got definitely didn't help much.

Anyway, we started drilling and catching in 13-15 ft of water, over the tops of the weeds. Problem was, the crappies were 10 inches on top end.... So we started drilling, and drilling untill we were pulling up weeds with the auger. This is where we ended up finding the big ones ?.  The Best area was right in the weeds, vor in small pockets between patches in 6-10 ft of water. It didn't really matter what we threw at them, it was just one of those days.  we ended up getting a couple over 13, and quite a few over 11 for the day....all released ?

Great day and great way to end the ice season.

I gave it once last shot on the Whitefish Chain for some tullies/whitefish. I only ended up with a 33inch pike. I was in 85ft of water and it hit my jig about 10ft off the bottom. Was not expecting to see that.

Anchor man-  were you out on Big Trout Friday morning?  I saw 2 people enjoying the lake as I was heading home from my all night fishing excursion.  I was fishing in Hackensack area at a lake in the woods with minimal access.  Was an adventure to just make it to the lake through the foot deep fresh snow that was waiting for us.  I sure wish the fishing would have matched our effort to get back to the lake!

Ozzie - I was on the north side of Lower WF.
