Linwood ice conditions! Wahoo

Ice is making it's way now! Thanks to last nights 9 degrees. The lake has officially froze over evenly. Will give another report Friday! Should be walking out and fishing in 10 days!

Checking ice at noon today. 2 days ago, it was about 3 inches. Will report later today. Probably people out today. Not me!

Ice is still 3". Access is thicker but, no one out there fishing. Next weekend...

It was 2 hits with the spud bar at the access last night at 4. I decided not to venture father to check after I found that out.

About the same on Forest Lake just now, 2 hits with the chisel and it went through, about 2.5" of ice

Sorry....forgot to post. It's 4" as of Sat. afternoon. Needs to firm up for me to go out further. Everything will be fine starting the 19th weekend. Finally! Should be closer to 6 by then. Will report again Friday the 18th after work.

I was seeing 3.5 to 4 inches on forest but it seemed fairly strong. I want able to get out to any of my normal areas due to ice getting thin out father so fishing was pretty slow.

Ok....just got back from Linny. Measures a solid 6" now. I checked several holes drilled by others also. 6". We are GOOD now!!! Finally!!!!

At the lake now and it's still 6". Access is still a problem. 2 ft. gap of open water all the way across. There is a trail to the right that will get you on the ice np. At least 35 people out there now. The heave will probably be 2 weeks minimum until it's solid.

I will be out this am. plowing and checking ice depth around noon. Will report later and give update on the heave at the access.

Sorry for the delay with the report. Got tied up with work unexpectedly...

The ice has really got thick this week. 9.5" is what I found today under my house and the few spots I tested. I was thinking maybe 8 but, it's been cold. Linwood has slush areas so I'd wear some good boots. 

The access is looking great. No heave at all! Totally smooth. People have been walking across all day. Drove across with my wheeler after seeing others do it. Plowed a nice road to left. Some standing water but, should freeze quick. I think we are finally good on ice!!!

Yes. I measured 10" on Sunday. The access is in perfect shape still. Totally flat and no wet spots. Some slush on the lake in spots but, it's getting better.

One last ice report Sat. It's getting thick. Driving I think in another 7 to 10 days. Will report mid day.

I measured the same 10 to 10.75" of ice. Access is perfect! Few cars out there driving. I drove my truck on the ice just past the access 30ft. The water is only 12" deep though. Lol

New ice report for Linwood. Drilled some holes Monday and got 15". Slush spots are all froze up. Got road all plowed and the access is in perfect shape!!

Ok. Checked ice today and it's 22". This will be my last report other than the access which can be the big problem. Happy fishing everyone. 2021 has got to be better!!!

Any word on the ice this year
