gimruis;

I've only had a place here since 2003.

It will surprise the whatever out of me if we hit 80 degrees again this year.

If I'm not mistaken we had snow in early October of last year.

So, if your plannin on wearing shorts again this fall, Good Luck!

Unless of course,  your one of those guy's I see at Walmart in shorts, in January. LOL

By the by, I hope your right, but I won't be holdin my breath waitin for 80. LOL

Ice fishing will not be here before we know it.  I'd be perfectly fine if it never came, actually.  LOL

I don't shop at Walmart amongst the Walmartians either.

80 might be a stretch.  I'll say 75 though.  Carry on Jim.

Goodbye to all the bugs!!!  Best case scenario is an early freeze.

A few years ago we had one of these early freezes and it cracked the housing of my lake pump. I'm glad that I drained a few sensitive hoses/pumps before leaving this past weekend.

Supposed to freeze tonight. LOL

I love Minnesota. LOL

I can see 75, maybe, I'm guessin there won't be many.

Bugs have been pretty light around here, that is a good thing.

Grew up on the Gull Lake Chain near Nisswa, MN. So homesick. Selling home in Indiana and looking to return to northern MN. Anyone with property for sale, hunting and/or fishing, please contact. Any good realtor recommendations for North of Park Rapids to Angle Inlet or Pipestone Lake, Ontario please advise. Thanks and stay warm!

I think that was the year I came back from opening weekend of deer hunting to find icicles coming from my faucets in my trailer in Soudan.  Now I shut off and drain the water before deer hunting just to be safe.

High temperature of 80°F in the cities on Tuesday, but ONLY 73°F on Vermilion.  Good time to coat my trailer roof yet this year.

I guess that you can say that I'm lucky. All winterizing means for me is to drain the lake pump, which means I have to hand carry two buckets of water up the hill if I want to take a sauna!

Pex with indoor plumbing helps during early freezes, but the metal fixtures can still bust.

Couple of my CPVC pipes cracked in that episode.

Will PEX crack in a fairly hard freeze?

Pex will not burst from freezing water. It's designed to expand and contract as needed.

That made me laugh. It's not uttered that often!
