Bald Eagle and White Bear Lake ice conditions?

Ok nevermind I went out today on Bald Eagle there was about 17-18 inches everywhere more or less I would personaly not drive out as there is water flowing in and there is open water about 50 yards or so from to landing. I dont get why pepole think this lake is dead I fish it all the time and i think its as good as any lake around its not very hard to find them if you know the spots lots of panfish today and a couple bonus walleye. I fished right out of the landing on a point out there that slowly tappers off If you are looking for a good spot to for walleye try that I have fished it all winter and consistently caught 3-4 walleye everytime out and I am not even fishing for them I am fishing for panfish. Another great spot if you look on a map you will see a rock pile in the center of the lake you can try that as well. All I can say is just try it and tell me what you think please do not litter out there because in past years I have seen lots of garbage on the lake i hate that cause it a pain for the fish and its also a pain for you to look at.

I live pretty close to each but haven't been out on either lately. That access can go pretty quickly at BE but glad to hear its still hanging on. I saw the BM launch last weekend and it was holding on but I suspect after the rain yesterday its starting to get chewed away from shore. I have never felt BE was dead but in my experience out there the Panfish, although abundant ,are typically small. Not to say there isn't some big ones swimming though. My buddy who fishes Walleyes out there has caught some nice ones in the open water on big ol Shiner minnows.
