Thought this an interesting topic.  I recently checked out the FB pages for various resorts around MN to see what was going on.  I stumbled into a few that are having their businesses blown apart when they post warnings about safety or respect based on observed behavior.  Will there come a time when the FB thing comes undone?  Doesn't seem to be helping some of these large businesses.  Lots of rage pointed at them.

Facebook's algorithm tends to love outrage culture.

Without knowing what resorts you're referring to, I can say generally I find value in them having a Facebook page when I'm researching places to stay at. I typically look for photos of the accommodations first, then photos of fish caught, and lastly any reviews. All of that could be included on a resort's website, but for most people Facebook is easier to update.  With reviews in particular I take them with a big grain of salt. Some people are expecting a 5-star hotel experience.
