I first want say thank you for letting me join your forum. I have an old ice drill it is a Tecumseh/jiffy/strickmaster, I don't know, it says jiffy all over it. I have my serial number, but I don't have a model number. Can someone tell me what the model number is? The serial number  is 819923. I need to fix it. This is a great machine. Can anyone out there help me.

Welcome to the forum.

May be you can describe what issues you are having with it or post some pictures because strickmaster doesn't sound like any thing Jiffy makes?

  • Thanks 1

Hello Leech, Thank you for your time. There is a few companies that were in on this .I think strickmaster made the drill, Tecumseh made the engine and jiffy sold the machine (ice drill). The name  Feldmann engineering is also on the jiffy sticker I can't find any of these companies that can tell me the model number. I gave them the serial number, but no one knows.

Please post up a few pictures. May be some of the old timers on here can recognize this mysterious auger by the look?

Or call :

FELDMAN ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING CO., INC.
520 Forest Ave.
Sheboygan Falls, WI 53085
Phone: (920) 467-6167

They are listed as the MFG on the Jiffy site.

Also it can't have a StrikeMaster bit on it because they turn in the opposite direction then Jiffy drill bits do. Something sounds a bit "Fishy" here?  ?

You still have not stated what the issue is with it?

To add a photo the easiest way is to click the "Click to choose files" and select camera a take your pic of the auger.   There are some image size restrictions.   Hope you find your answers.

Hello Leech, This is davgoz. I have made a little progress. What I did was I sent a picture to feldmann Eng., att. tammy. She has been very nice. Tammy told me if it turns clockwise it could be a earth drill. She said ice drill turn counter clockwise. I also found more numbers on the cover #670-104-1041. I would like to post a picture but I can't I have a flip phone. I am trying to fide a way with my hunting camera. Are these numbers any help in your thoughts. Thank you for your time.

Now that you have made contact with the Mfg, I would share the numbers with them.  Oh don't forget to tell them what you are trying to fix or like this forum. No one can really help you without that.  ?

Table is updated below.  Opening day is likely in jeopardy.  Lots of good dates available for those sitting on the sideline.

That's ok, got the Bear hunting out of my system years ago.  Still have some good spots on the GPS up in the Arrow head!  Did love me some good greasy bear roasts though!  😋

Yes, I'm on the West End.  No crappies yet, but I caught a couple of Cisco's and some perch this morning. Been dealing with chores at the cabin since 10 AM, so not much fishing.

10 inches of snow in cook this morning. 53 was pretty messy

Hard to tell exactly how much snow the way the wind was blowing it around, close to that I'll bet!  3 sleds went by earlier. Brian, are you on the west end? Did you fish?  Catch any crappies?

I was on the lake this morning. There is still a lot of ice. I went down to the housing on my auger a couple of times.  I'm not sure how much snow we got yesterday and last night but it looks like around 7 to 8 inches at least.
