Calling Mechanics!!!

Currently out in Montana doing some hiking and fly fishing and threw a rear brake line (got to love what salt does to steel from MN winters.)

I tried high pressure wrapping with no prevail, then a hose with hose clamps same issue. Tried pinching it off no luck, still leaking. Cut it and folded it back on itself but the rust keeps cracking. Will isolating the rear brakes from the valve with a plug hold? Trying to find a mechanic in the morning for a permanent fix but not banking on it. Any advice would help. 04 Silverado 4x4 work truck. Local auto store does not have the appropriate parts or I would have fixed it. Need to be back in MN Wednesday night for class. Advice?

Brake lines are readily available from all parts stores.    Replacing the bad section between couplers and or T is what your planning on doing but sometimes that can be difficult on account of rust.  Yes a plug at the proportioning valve  would work to limp the truck to the shop would work.  Hopefully you don't damage that fitting or line when removing. Good Luck.

Thanks SurfaceTension for the advice, I plugged it at the proportion valve then got to a place and repaired it in it's entirety. From here out I'm going to replace them with copper nickel, yes more pricey but easier to work with and less damaging from the salt
