Currently out in Montana doing some hiking and fly fishing and threw a rear brake line (got to love what salt does to steel from MN winters.)
I tried high pressure wrapping with no prevail, then a hose with hose clamps same issue. Tried pinching it off no luck, still leaking. Cut it and folded it back on itself but the rust keeps cracking. Will isolating the rear brakes from the valve with a plug hold? Trying to find a mechanic in the morning for a permanent fix but not banking on it. Any advice would help. 04 Silverado 4x4 work truck. Local auto store does not have the appropriate parts or I would have fixed it. Need to be back in MN Wednesday night for class. Advice?

I know it looks like a great day on the lake, but today it is all about football and the bar is open in my basement. The fish will have to wait. Hopefully next year will be Skol Vikings in Superbowl.
Oh here yeah go smurfy, click-on and zoom the price tag on this one! Every time I go to the show, I take a "scare the kids picture". Of what I may spend their inheritance on! 🤣
Don't remember what floor the sporting goods dept was on or how extensive it was since I only went there for the fishing stuff a few times. The fishing stuff was in a corner and consisted of a few shelves and a peg board. Probably had red and white bobbers, rope stringers, fancier safety pin stringers, Eagle Claw hooks. The standards for the 70s.
