Heading up boat camping on east Rainy Lake next week and wondering what the latest and greatest is on the walleye bite? Are the fish flies over with and it is the typical summer bite now, with them on the reefs?

I was on east Rainy mid July, and the eyeballs where shallower than any previous year for July. But, they where on the reefs. We did pretty well on lots of different points as well.city

Haven’t gone east of sand bay but the walleyes are on every hump I have checked this past week. Minnow and jig have been the ticket. Use your electronics to find the active ones and enjoy.
