Simple can't be beat with kids. Leech under a slip bobber

What @Tom Sawyer said.  Night crawlers could work too but you might get beat up by small panfish too much.

 

Stick worms rigged wacky style.  Probably the easiest artificial bait to fish ever - and effective.

 

Kinda depends on their ages and skill level.  It’s a pretty big question being that open.

 

Water temps are rising so you might have to focus on the outside weed line.  I haven’t fished the chain in MANY years so I don’t have much more to offer than that.

 

If you can afford (and find an open one) a guide for a even a half day would make a lights out difference for you.

Keep it simple. Spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. Jointed and/or flat raps over the tops of weeds. And if numbers are more important than size, 3” twister tails with overhead spinners will literally catch everything that swims in the lake!
