I do a lot of shore fishing of the Minnesota river in the Mankato area. I have seen old forums talking about white bass and I was wondering if they are still around and how I should go about fishing for them. Thanks for any help!

They are plentiful around Mankato. Shore fishing I would look for rivers, streams and feeder creeks and fish the sand bar that's created by their confluence with the Minnesota River.

 

A jig and plastic works great. If the conditions are right for it, try a good ol beetle spin.
