Visiting Pelican Or Vermillion In July

Hello, I am planning to spend a week with family at either Pelican or Vermillion in late July, and need to commit to just one. From what I know, both are great. I have been to Pelican in 15 years ago and liked it, but I've always been intrigued by Vermillion. I would appreciate thoughts and recommendations on both lakes, experiences at particular resorts. The family loves fishing for pike and I would like another crack at a Musky, but the main idea is to show the kids (9, 8, 6) the beauty of the area and build great memories. Hello David, we visited Vermilion for years until purchasing some land in the Frazer Bay / Smarts Bay area. We have stayed at a number of resorts, but really enjoyed Retreat Lodge due to the owners, reasonable prices and fantastic fishing within 2 miles of where it is located! Good luck with your decision!

 

Vermilion is a one of a kind lake!

I love the location of the Retreat Lodge, never stayed there though.
