Mounting a scope on a savage mark ii gl .22

I just bought my son a new Savage Mark II Gl and scope but Gander did not have the mounting hardware to mount the scope. The gun is drilled and tapped for a scope mount but that's it. The scope I bought has rings already so I just need the mounting hardware. Can anyone point me in the right direction? When I google this gun and scope mount I seem to get a long rail but the guy at Gander told me it would be 2 little pieces? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Scope bases come in many varieties. I picked up a savage last fall and needed a base for it and got a single piece picatinny rail. There were also some 2 piece out there but I preferred the rail. If the rifle is tapped already for a mount you should be fine with either. I got mine on Amazon. I added it to a watch list and ended up getting it when it went on sale.

Off topic, where can I get one of those sweaters you are wearing? They look warm and the button wrap around neck looks like that would be good here in our winters.
