Grand marais

Only 36 hours away from heading to Grand Marais! Forecast looks pretty good. Of the 35 years we’ve been going up there, this is actually the earliest we’ve done the trip. And with the late ice out, should be interesting to see where the bass and trout are. Anyone been to the area yet? Definitely looking to make up for the 3 trips up there last year, where the weather was worse with each trip. Made for the poorest fishing we’ve ever experienced up there! Going to try a few other activities, other than just fishing, so it should be lots of fun up there. As always, will post my report when we get back!

Be prepared to get cold-fronted tomorrow. I was up last weekend and killed 'em. Going back up tomorrow, cold front be %#@$!

My dad was just up there and got trout on mink and kimball. Walleyes off cascade lake and devilfish. He got a couple nice pike from cascade as well.
