What color plastics do you guys use for bass?  I would think a lot of people use senkos? Do you do drop shot and/or rig them wacky style?

Any more recent walleye updates? Has the change taken place to leeches/worms yet?

Thanks in advance! Looks like some nice weather Thursday-Sunday!

PSU -

I fished off dock Sunday evening with slip bobber and minnow.  Caught a few small ones just before sunset.

On Monday evening, fished swallow from boat with slip bobbers.  My wife used leech and I used minnow.  She definitely did better.  I finally switched to a leech.  All small ones and just one keeper.   Haven't tried crawlers yet.

Andy,

Jetsky is on the right path. Shallow(8’ or less- watch the rocks!) bobber, leech is best right now. I’m still catching a few on minnows, so have them along for the ride. I haven’t been finding any concentrations of fish. More like a few here, none there and a few in the other place. But I did catch and release a 24” this afternoon after catching three eater sized fish and a large smallie.

I miss the reports from Mark B, Cliff, and Casey.  They were all very helpful.  Good luck on the water everyone.

Just got back from week on west end. Leeches out fished minnows 10-1. 14-20 feet water.

Fished walleyes Friday and Saturday night from 8-930.  Lindy with plain hook and white bead was the most productive.  All but one fish were caught on leeches.  12-14 FOW.  Lots of 12-13" fish, and one 24".

Fished smallies on sunday morning.  They were up shallow and hit on senkos rigged wacky.   It was a "defend the bed" bite though, not an aggressive feeding bite, so had to be a little patient before setting the hook and even then I missed a lot.    Probably caught a dozen in 2 hours, so it was a ton of fun.

Jerkin,

What depths and bottom structure worked for you?

Thanks in advance,

RLG

13-15 FOW on soft bottom next to rocky drop-off.  Not that I know what I'm doing, however.

Had a great couple of days in the middle of the lake. Plenty of 15-18”fish and too many little ones to count. Leeches mostly but fish also were active on smaller rainbows later in the day.

Got 4 more slot fish tonight from 8 till 9:30. All between 21" and 26-1/4". had a nice one on within a minute of getting out there, but I was waiting for a boat to pass before I grabbed the net and lost it.  Sorry if it sounds like I'm bragging, I'm not, this uncharted territory for me up here ?. Like I've said before, this lake has humbled me. This is the best wknd fishing in the 6 years we've been up here... gotta enjoy it while it lasts. Heading back to the rat race tomorrow.

CigarGuy, I couldn't help but notice that the boat you're using appears to have the junk Merc fuel line that has cost boat owners a boat load of money by disintegrating the rubber liner inside and sending it downstream into your filters and carbs. The Merc is the right vintage and the line is the right (wrong) color. If you can find a speck of red or orange printing on it or if it feels soft when you squeeze it, you should cut it into pieces and toss it in the trash. If you are original owner and know 100% that non oxy 91 octane is the only type of gas ever used, maybe it will be fine. I wouldn't risk it though. Check my 'mercury fuel hose causes issues' thread on equipment and expert information forum for pics from this spring.

It is grey hose, red print on it. So, replace it?  The line and primer ball is firm, when should I spot squeezing it?. So, replace it?  It's a 2010.  Thanks
