Anyone been fishing this lake lately? How’s the ice?

Posted

I would not drive on it. It maybe good for foot traffic for another week or two.  Two weeks aog was a good 20+ inches but conditions change each day.

Buffalo lake should open up by may 5, dark ice and lots of shifting ice.

Bump!

I assume it's safe for walking but are there any spots to avoid for foot traffic?

Have the week of Xmas off and would like to try this lake.

Was out last saturday

Plenty of ice 16"+

Caught a ton of sunnies and had to weed through them and kept 7 decent ones.

Thanks for the update.  I was wondering what the ice was like there also.

Pretty easy to get around if you avoid the ruts.

Lots of trucks and wheel houses out there.
