I will be fishing Little Long Lake near Ely beginning of October.  I know it is a night bite lake for Walleye.   Can they be caught during the day?  Any tips?  How about panfish or northern during the day?  How about a nearby lake for day fishing.  I think Burntside might be too big.  How about Shagwa? Others?  Thanks,  Jim

Check out fall, ed shave, low, and birch. You can get some panfish on little long and it has big pike and both bass. Search how to fish lakes with smelt for bass and pike. They tend to roam chasing smelt and you can get walleyes during the day doing that as well.

Thanks Moose!  If I can find some smelt, I'll give that a try!  Jim

Shags can be good during the day and easier to fish than Burntside.

Shagawa has been giving up some small eater walleyes during the day recently.

Check out fall lake by the dam. Walleyes are always hanging out there.

Where is the dam?  Tried to find it on a map.  I assume it's near winton where it narrows into a river?
