Leech Lake Largies

I fish Leech  lot for walleyes. Having family up next week and they love bass fishing. We stay on Walker Bay. Other than the far east side of the lake any suggestions for areas to target? Wondering if Sucker Bay, and Kabekona have good weeds for bass.

I've fished a few tournaments on Leech and have caught plenty of nice large mouth in Sucker bay.  I always try to key in on the wild rice.  Be careful not to motor into the rice as you can get fined by the DNR.  The top water bite can be incredible at times.  I also always have punch rig ready as well to follow up any missed blow ups.  Black and white frogs are always my "go to" colors for top water and the ol' black and blue color for punch rigs and jigs.  You have the chance at monster dogfish mixed in there as well.  A few years ago we had what I'm sure was darn close to a state record dog come unbuttoned at the boat.  Those things are ugly but man are they fun!  Docks are also a good back up plan as well.  Standard plastics like sticks and beavers work pretty well.  Good luck and let us know how you do!
