Hello Vacationers,

The Vermilionaires (8 of us) are comin' up next week from the Twin Cities for our annual pilgrimage to the Lake of the Sunset Glow. This will be our 10th trip up since 2004. We have stayed in different private cabins each trip. This trip we are kicking things off at the Crescent Bar & Grill. Anybody like that place? We have not been there before. We will then hit the West End first this year. Probably try around Boys Camp Reef and Center Island, then work our way over to Taylors Island and then head up the Partridge River and into Black Bay. Are there any walleyes in Black still? Any thoughts on any other spots guys???

We (wife and I) like the crescent a lot.  Also try south switch.

Looking forward to your reports.

Have a great week folks, I doubt there are to many Walleyes still in Black bay or the river. However I haven't been up that way so who knows? ;)

The Crescent has great food and a pleasant atmosphere.

Been catching most of my Walleyes in shallow water on crankbaits. Smallmouth bass are on the agenda for the next 10 days or so. Then it's all Muskies all the time after that. ;)
