The bugs are starting to hatch...slowly...no huge swarms yet or slicks of carcasses on the water but I have seen a few pine flies, fish flies, dragon flies, damsel flies, ect...

Thanks for the update.  Keep this updated.  Heading up on Saturday for the week and need to dial in the bait for the week or if we are going to be spending all day looking for active fish.

Lots of mayflies now.  Larvae were coming up two weeks ago and now good amounts of sheds on the water.  Fishing has been great for those willing to move around and find active fish.  Use leeches.  2-3ft snell.  Plain hook.  Caught quite a few yesterday.  Good size range.  Kabetogama.

Just got back from a week at the lake. The hatch is over for the most part. the bite is slow but picking up a little. Leeches or crawlers working better than minnows right now. We were trying everything and the slight edge was going to lindy rigs...but hard to tell with the bite so slow. Bass were biting better than eyes and saugers. On the other hand Ron E. Cash was great! Thanks Kettle Falls Hotel!
