The ice is still nice, it's actually in pretty darn good shape. I've been driving all over the darn place lol. I know all of the lakes around here are capable of holding an ATV or a UTV, and will be foot traffic capable for a couple more weeks, at least.  I've been out chasing different species like Burbot and Tullibees. Found some nice tullibee action on Winnie, as well as some nice burbot action on a few different area lakes. Last night there was 25" of ice out on Cass in the three different areas I fished.  Here is a pig I caught the other night out on Winnie. As well as a pic of a couple nice Cass Lake pout that we've pulled out.

Yeah those dang tullibees have wicked teeth!!!!   I sliced it on some glass when I was hauling garbage... Not my finest moment!

Wow those are gorgeous burb!! I wanna try Cass/PB this evening and Monday Evening, any suggestions, seemed like a guy could drive out too. Thanks for the posts and in advance!!

Yeah you can drive out, Look for steep breaks and secondary breaks in 20-45 feet, I've been moving around, most nights I'll try a half dozen spots.

Well did you make it out there? I went to a little panfish lake with the fam and boy did it pay off!!! Not... lol. We caught a few dink bluegills and one little bass. Drilled the heck out that little lake too, oh well though it was a beautiful evening on the ice. Tonight looks even better, I might be out there in an hour or so!

Due to some issues, I was forced to fish lake bemidji, fished grassy island and got skunked...Until next year...

Fished the last couple of nights on smaller lakes in the area, walked out. The ice was pretty good still under a layer of mush. Any surface water is leaking through but the ice is holding up well for foot traffic. Trying to balance my time between maple trees and fishing now.
