Need advice, looking to buy a 6x10 enclosed trailer searching for recommendations on good brands. If anyone out there can share some advice it would be graciously appreciated. I really need something to haul all my ice fishing gear.

Here is my lesson learned about these types of trailers - you get what you pay for.  I priced a Haulmark and an RC (Royal....).  I went with the RC as it was about 10% less costly.  After the first trip, many of the outer skin screws either sheared off or were backing themselves out.  I took it back to the dealer for warranty work, which they did plus they repainted the frame and hitch area since it was already rusting through the paint.

You looking at Steel or Aluminum? Aluminum is going to last longer if used in the winter but is almost double the price. Don't buy any Aluminum trailer that has green treated flooring unless its isolated from the aluminum structure. Green treat is know to badly corrode Aluminum any salesman that tells you different just wants your $. Also on an aluminum trailer make sure that the steel Axle components are isolated from the frame to keep dissimilar metal corrosion to a minimum. Make sure whatever you purchase has EZ lube axles (some MFG call it by other names) but it is a much better lubrication system than any other out there. If its not standard pay the extra $ for it! Bearing Buddies are junk and are no comparison.  IMO NEO MFG makes one of the best aluminum enclosed trailer out there. They have stuff standard that others charge extra for. Aluma is also a good brand but higher priced over Neo. Also look at how the roof is made. Buy a unit that has a 1 piece roof and you really want a pitch to it. The only trailer I've had water issues with was a completely flat roof one.

What a difference a day makes.  Fishing was very slow today.  Biggest I caught was only 13 inches.  Marked a lot of fish but couldn't get very many to bite.   The wind was very strong today and did cause a little bit of drifting, but travel is still good on the latke.  Just avoid the snow banks and drifts.  Saw one house get pulled off the lake, and didn't see any new houses come out before I left the lake at 4pm.  Lots of snowmobiles and trailers in Tower.  At least the city and lake will be busy with those.   Good luck fishing if you go out the last weekend of the winter season.

Ice condition didn't change much in the last week as shown in the McKinley Park photo from today.  The holes in my house froze all the way down in the last six days; 40 inches of ice now.  I drilled my two holes 24 inches and cleared the shavings out before reaching water.  Much cleaner way in a permanent house.   Fishing was pretty good today.  Caught two 24" walleyes, including the 5#-7oz fatty pictured.  Also caught a 19 incher.  Best bite was from 11 to noon.  Much better action with chubs than shiners today.  Never tried the pike suckers I had.   Good luck fishing the last weekend this winter.  Going to be very windy Friday, but drifting shouldn't b a problem since there is no loose snow on the lake.  Saturday and Sunday look to be very warm.  Still about 35 houses left out from McKinley Park.

Too bad she’s after big game when she leaves home.  Your one eyed trouser trout might not lure her in. 😉
