Oh, cuz i came off right after  he happened to. I was standing there talking to some people and was wondering  if 1 was you. Be careful  nobody marked that spot.

Whoever that was that went through must not have been familiar with Pearl. That left side has some springs or current in it.

There's a little stream entering the lake about 100-125 feet off to the left of the access as you're heading out. Most years, someone goes in when they drive out of the access and make a hard left.

 

This person simply got too close to the bulrushes that are next to the road right at the access. The ice around emergent weeds is always thinner because they heat up in the sunlight, especially in early- and late-winter when the sun is higher in the sky and transmits more energy. It's the same thing that happens when you see a leaf or a piece of dark debris that has melted into the ice from the sun's warmth.
