ALEXANDRIA AREA

Crappies continue to be caught on Lake Le Homme Dieu and Lake Darling in 20 to 25 feet, but sunfish reports continue to be limited. A few walleyes are coming off Lake Ida, Lake Miltona, and the Le Homme Dieu Chain in 20 to 25 feet early and late each day.

This is the report for the area.

Last year, about this time of year, I was having luck on Smith Lake for sunnies and pike in the day and crappies after dark. I haven't been out there this year yet.

Hi there! Planning on coming up next Thursday, what is the condition of the ice on Le Home Dieu on the flats? Thickness?

I have not been on the lake for some time, but I still see large shacks and trucks out north of Government Point.

Just got off the lake. 19" of ice going out of sandy beach access. You can drive pretty much anywhere with the biggest obstacle right now being the access. There are a couple of 3' potholes that are open as you come on the lake. Nothing a good freeze can't fix.

How is the ice on Reno and Osakis, was going to try either this afternoon and was wondering cause of my drive. Thanks
