Protection for the inside of my Ice Castle

Just curious for different options to protect the wood in my new Ice Castle, It came with the unfished pine...We plan on using it camping and the wife is all concerned with the fish slim and water ruining the wood...Would prefer being able to paint it on, and be able to wipe it off...Thanks

I would use a water based clear urethane paint.

Protects well and not too much smell.

I just went through this on my new house build.  I used the Minwax matte finish waterbased poly.  It doesn't smell or darken the wood.   My house is cedar but I'd think it work equally as well on pine.

Sweet, I think thats what I will try, the fact that there is no smell sounds like the way to go...That has been my biggest concern, I didn't really want it to smell like a cabinet shop all winter...Thanks for the input and now please bring the ice..

Yes first house we used the marine spar varnish, it turned the wood dark & it still stinks like varnish, never again. I did two coats & sanded between coats.  8x16 took close to 1-1/2 gallons for reference.
