went and got some new line for the ice rods. I am ready to go. Batteries charged, drill plate auger ready, and my fancy measuring board in the bucket.

50 degrees Monday, time to pull that boat out Ricky. With all this climate change taking place; you'll have plenty of time to get ready for ice fishing.

Finally got them to bite on a small tungsten jig tipped with a waxie. Had a line set with a minnow and no takers what so ever.  Fishing 10 fow

For the spot I wanted to go in the daytime its like 1/2 mile or a little more

I have not tried but I think if you fish the night bite you wouldn't have to walk very far at all.
