How did everyone fare during the snowstorm last Friday? I went to saw up a log on our snowmobile trail Friday midday. Luckily there was enough snow to haul pine logs back to my wood shed using the snowmobile. However, each time I made a trip I would encounter a new tree or two that had fallen across the trail. Several trees went down between my cabin and the neighbor's. No big trees came down near my cabin but you could hear trees snapping and tipping all day. Saturday we all got out of dodge before our bay froze over. One neighbor had a pipe freeze during the power outage but I'm not aware of anything truly bad happening.

How did the rest of you endure?

I was up near elephant lake Friday night for a rescue call. Lots of trees down on the forest service roads. Argo got a work out.

Now that most of the snow melted, I was able to clean up my trees that were snapped in half or uprooted from that storm.  I lost about 24 balsam trees, about 4 of them I would classify a pretty large trees.  But no damage to any structures.
