What are you shooting?  For me it's a Traditions pursuit G4 ultralight in 50 cal.

Hoping to get out next week Tuesday just hope this snow sticks around.

I'm shooting an Omega, thumbhole stock, fluted stainless barrel. 110gr 777, crush rib sabot, with a .44cal hornaday ftx slug. Works like a charm. 

 

Unfortunately this year I put one of those funny peep sights with the red dot in the middle of it on it. Used it in the shotgun zone during the regular A season. Filled my tag. So it's been scrubbed, bore buttered, breech plug removed, and put away until next year.

Well the snow didn't stick around after all of the rain we had on Sunday, I took the day off to do some scouting/still hunting on several pieces of public land that I have never been to before.  The first piece I got to looked really good on google earth, ended up bumping 2 deer in that spot and found some good locations for bow hunting. the next spot I checked out I know gets pounded during slug season, so I decided to go check out the thickest crap I could find in there.  I found what I was looking for a little over 3/4 mile from the truck, it was a clump of popular trees and 7' tall sumac no lie in a 300 yard circle I counted 50 rubs.  In the pictures I stood in one spot and counted 18 without moving.  Overall the day was a success I didn't pull the trigger but found some spots that look very good for later this year and next year.
