Any new news on Upper red?

Just wondering if there was any new info/topic on upper red?

We were up there last Monday. When we stopped for gas & bait in Waskish we asked about the fishing & was told there wasn't many going out. She also said it had been pretty windy for the fishing to be much good. There was 5 or 6 units in the PA when we got there. We started on the north shore & got 2 but only kept 1. There was 2-3 others over there, at the end of the day we went over to the south shore & got 1 more keeper. There were more boats over there but most. of them appeared to be going way west of us. Both our keepers came on a jig & 1/2 a crawler.

Did you try a Jig  and minnow? What was the water temp?

I was up there on Saturday, the fog rolled in 30 minutes before we got there. I talked to someone that just came in and said they were fishing for about an hour with no luck. The fog was bad 20 ft. visibility, that's why they came in.

Rig / minnow, jig / minnow, we had some leeches along as well & tried them too. I was a bit surprised at the surface temps(~47) that day as they were 4-5 degrees cooler than where we fish most of the time, which is just east of Winnie / Cutfoot.
