That might be one of my favorite pike pictures so far this year. Thanks for sharing.

He was an angry fella. Tried jumping in my kayak!

Nice. I fished Johanna as a kid, with my Dad and uncle. Thought about going back, but until recently didn't figure it was worth it. Excited for ice to give it another look! See you out there.

There are lots of wakeboarder/water skiers on the lake...makes for some struggles while fishing in a kayak. The new thing is wake surfing, so those big towboats push out some huge waves! lol

But still, it is a quality lake with good size pike/tiger muskie. We're very lucky to have so many awesome lakes in this city

Went out with my poker this morning and checked ice at Johanna. The entire lake is finally locked up and there is about an inch of ice at the end of the dock. Hopefully the snow misses us this morning and we start to build some quality ice.

I was just out there today to try and fish the bottle neck on the west side of the lake for walleye, ice seemed very soft to me and was only about 3 inches or so yet. generally i dont get nervous and will be on the smallest amount of ice possible but the ice seemed extremely dangerous there yet, i got off before i could really wet a line decently. hopefully better news comes from this lake soon.

looking for a local lake this weekend to drag out the wheelhouse. wife wants to bring her father and grandmother out for a day.  thinking johanna or josephine, would be happy with some panfish to keep them entertained. any suggestions?

Just hauled our shack out last weekend, didn't get a bite.  Graphed some, but no takers, could have just been the weather, or tactics, ha.  Haven't really fished the lake much in the winter, figured we should seeing it's a half mile from home.
