Tip Up Alarm

At times I put a tip up out when things are slow. Its nice to have an audio alarm on the tip up making it unnecessary to constantly watch it. Saw this a few years ago on another forum. Would also work in a sleeper for those sound sleepers. Cost is $1.00 per alarm and takes about 15 min to attach to the tip up.

Just an FYI each unit uses 3 AG13/LR44 watch battery. Best price I have found is 10 for $4.82 includes taxes and shipping. Your might be better off just tossing the alarm unit when the battery fails. The lift part is only a magnet in plastic and should not fail unless it breaks. Also not sure how the batteries will stand up in the deathly cold temps you get up there.

I looked at the alarms a couple of days ago and decided that they would not work where I planned to use them.

I don't use a tip up very often usually fish 2 holes in my houes. Just nice to have a cheap way to let me know some something tripped the tip up when I do.
