Got out with rick g for a couple hours today.  had a dandy on right away in a spot I like to hit but lost it.  went back an hour later and wham!  fun battle in the yak!  19 3/4 incher. 4 inch stick bait yellow and black wacky style.

Didn't get quite a nice of one as Royce, but numbers more than made up for it biggest one I landed was 17ish inches....lost a biggun when it wraped around my anchor rope...lol.  3in brown/ornge mr twister on a ball head

I've been real interested in getting a fishing kayak.  Do you guys stop, get out of the kayak and fish?  Or do you fish out of the kayak most of the time when on the Miss. R.?

Nice work on the new PB Yak smallmouth eyeguy! I just came across this post and pretty cool to see you and Rick out in the kayaks this year. Too bad you guys didn't have them when I lived in the area. We could of got out!  I have been hitting the elk river stretch of the Mississippi and getting some nice smallmouth too! Even got my new PB at 19"! Take care!

fun for sure   I have measured a few  over 20 but not yet from the yak. Hopefully this summer. Hope to get out next week and put one on the board.

Tied the 19 3/4 inch mark today from the yak with a fat beast.  Mike nailed a dandy 24 inch eye.
