I have been fishing quite a bit in the Princeton Area ... Sunnies have been hitting lately on waxies on a Spoon jig and glow jigs.  Crappies have been nice but not good numbers.  I did get a jumbo Perch yesterday morning (10.5") just one lone wolf.   Anyone been fishing Green Lake?   Lets here what's been working as Ice fishing is just getting good :)

How's the ice holding up?  Pretty wet?

@Fumb Disher Yes, - ice is still pretty good on most major lakes in the Princeton Area.  Tried Blue last night and it was slow, marked fish but the bite was very light.   I would say 14 inches of ice.

Well went out to skogman about 7 this morning, fished till 430 and got a lot  of little sunnuys and one 17 1/2 inch bass. No crappies and no pike:angry:, went all over the lake looking for fish. Got that bass on a orange and white glow tungston with a waxie... She gave me a good fight, ripping line out of my drag every time I got her up to the hole. By the 4th or 5th time I got her up she gave up and came in  easily. Ice was little soft but still 15 inches. I would take a slow bite on the lake than be sitting at home!:P thinking of heading to north Lindstrom tomorrow or maybe north center herd the bites are good right now on both

Fish for life- you should have stuck around - I also was out on Skogman- ended up with 9 keeper crappies. Between 5:30 & 6:30 was the best bite.  At 7:00 PM the vex was red, but no way could I get that # 10. I had my best luck on small minnow & plain red hook. In 24 ft of water. It was back to ATV for me, but there were some trucks that came out. That ice drilled awfully easy!!!

Good Luck

Well I went out to peltier lake on Saturday, about 30 min from Cambridge trying to catch some pike and pan fish. Just me and my uncle had close to 20-25 flags and caught most of them. We also got into a decent crappie bite, most where in that 6-10 inch class. We kept some 9s and 10s for the fryer, and kept 5 pike. The biggest of the day was almost 32 inches and 9 1/4 lbs with a 6 1/2 lbs and three 4-5 pounders. The bite was good for both didn't catch to many gills which was weird cause we usually get some 7-9 inches out there. Got one lone 9 inch perch, we fished in 10-14fow and got most crappies on an assortment of tungsten's with waxies or lava larvae. It was a great day for fishing and great day of fishing☺

Went to long lake last night, setup in 9 feet from 5pm-9pm...had talk to someone coming in who said he marked 5 but no bites, so wasn't expecting much. At around six pulled in a few 8"-9" crappie then a school of bullhead moved in. I should have moved. Ended up catching around 30 - 3"-5" bullhead and no crappie. Ended the night with 30 bullhead and 5 crappie all 8"-9". BTW still close to 5 inches of ice
