New to ice fishing

New to ice fishing really liking it so far looking for tips and good spots to try with in 1 hour away from st cloud

Don't know any spots for you, but I would get a flasher as soon as you can. Even used will do. Beware though-it might turn your new hobby into an addiction

+1 on a flasher. I know there's some re-built Vex's out there. Just got back into myself & mine is a Marcum.

Briggs, clear lake, Saul river chain, little elk, Ann lake, and it depends on what you want to catch.

Lots of good water within an hr of St Cloud. Some of the better lakes are Cleawater, Rice, Koronis, Big Birch, the Horseshoe chain and a bunch of smaller gems. Like Moose said, all depends on what your looking for.

As you probsbally already know you'll want to get a flasher, house, heater, etc. and they're are options in many price range for that stuff. But one of my favorite ice fishing toys is a good GPS device/app to let you scout lakes prior to fishing. Knowing contours an depths is almost as important as your gear, I use the Navionics app.  Good luck fishing!
