I finally found the good size crappies! I believe in sharing good info for all but know that when we do this everyone rushes to the same spot. Who cares, we are in this to have fun aren't we?

straight off the the right side of the fishing pier about 100 yards. 20 ft of water using a Bro Bug jig with a small minnow. Boom 20-25 crappies all 12" or larger! All returned for continued fun for all. Best luck was between 3 and 5 pm. It was cold last night, saw -6 on the phone, but with a portable and heater no problem.

for the ice condition guys like me ... 6-6.5" solid good ice.

Is there any other reports out there for the south metro?

Caught around 40 gills on prior yesterday. 3 crappie and 2 bass mixed in. A lot of good size in the gills, many 8 inches and a few slightly larger. All were released
